Six decades of acoustic discipline, competitive field pageantry, and hometown spirit—uniting students in the pursuit of expressive artistic excellence.
The Lincolnview High School Band Program stands as an artistic pillar of Van Wert County. Founded in 1960 during the historic consolidation of the Middle Point, York, and Ridge rural communities, the program was created with a single enduring purpose: to provide rural students with an extraordinary music education that rivals any collegiate preparatory studio.
From the crisp autumn Friday evenings performing field drills under the turf stadium lights to the resonant silence of the spring concert auditorium, Lincolnview student musicians develop far more than technical facility. They learn how to breathe together, listen critically across sections, and execute complex polyrhythms with unison precision.
Under a sequence of passionate band directors and with the unwavering backing of the Lincolnview Band Boosters and local agricultural community, the Lancers have consistently earned Superior (Division I & II) ratings at Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Large Group Adjudicated Events.
Our mission is to foster musical mastery, uncompromising personal discipline, and lifelong devotion to the arts through collective rehearsal, expressive performance, and deep community pride.Lincolnview Instrumental Music Department • Van Wert, OH
